Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson is diving into another film adaptation of a video game franchise, after he previously announced to be starring in a Call Of Duty film.
This time around, the game in question is It Takes Two, and Johnson will be an executive producer on the project. There does remain potential though for him to act in the film as well.
The news comes from website Variety, who report that the film will stream on Amazon Prime, and be produced by Dany Garcia and Hiram Garcia along with Johnson.
Writers Pat Casey and Josh Miller, the two writers behind both Sonic The Hedgehog films will be heading up this new adaptation, according to the report.
With more recent IP like It Takes Two now being selected for films, it’s a sign that this wave of video game adaptations is far from over, and it isn’t just major platform holders like Sony leading the way.
