EA Confirms Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order Is Part Of ‘A New Franchise’

Electronic Arts bigwig Andrew Wilson has revealed that Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order is part of a brand new franchise, which means we won’t be waving goodbye to Cal Kestis anytime soon.

Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order Kicks Off A New Series

Speaking during the publishing giant’s latest earnings call earlier this week, Wilson told investors that the sci-f adventure title is the “first title in an entirely new franchise,” although wouldn’t elaborate any further. Still, it’s pretty obvious more games are in the pipeline.

Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order was released for the PS4, PC, and Xbox One back in November 2019, and was developed by Respawn. At this point in the current-generation console cycle, we can safely assume future Jedi titles will arrive on PS5 and Xbox Series X.

Despite the game’s success, Respawn admitted earlier in the year that Jedi Fallen Order could have ‘been better‘ with additional development time.
