Persona Team’s producer and director Kazuhisa Wada has stated that the team has “many exciting plans” in store for the Persona franchise in 2021, to celebrate the franchise’s 25th anniversary.
Speaking in a video at the PlayStation Awards 2020 Japan Asia, Wada expressed his delight at Persona winning an award for five years in a row and also said the following:
As next year is the 25th anniversary of the Persona series, we have many exciting plans which we hope you will all enjoy.
Not much else was suggested here, but this could mean that we will likely see a return of the Persona concerts and also the long-awaited release of Persona 5 Scramble: The Phantom Strikers in the West, after multiple retailer listings suggested that we would see the game at some point in 2021, possibly as early as February. Who knows, we might even see the announcement of the next mainline Persona title.
