Rockstar Games has reached a “major milestone” in the development of the highly anticipated Grand Theft Auto 6, according to Chris Klippel of Rockstar Magazine. Klippel has previously weighed in on the status of GTA 6, claiming the projected had been rebooted in 2019.
Speaking during a recent interview (translated from French by DeepL), Klippel revealed that “A major milestone in the development of #GTA6 has been reached. Things should accelerate (internally at Rockstar).”
In addition, the tipster also predicts that a “real announcement” for GTA 6 could be made by Rockstar by the end of 2022, although Klippel doesn’t reckon the game will make it out before the end of 2024.
Rockstar Games has announced GTA 6 is in the works, but didn’t say much more than that, so a ‘real announcement’ as Klippel puts it would (hopefully) mean significant details and perhaps even some concept images.

Klippel’s comments about the game’s launch window doe tie in with previous reports that GTA 6 is likely to launch in 2025, although nothing has been announced yet.
In the meantime, Rockstar is bringing Grand Theft Auto 5 and Grand Theft Auto Online to PS5 and Xbox Series X/S this week.
