Warner Bros. Avalanche’s community manager has revealed on Twitter that the highly anticipated Hogwarts Legacy will not feature microtransactions.
https://twitter.com/finchstrife/status/1504591261574987800?s=21Sony hosted a dedicated State of Play event yesterday evening dedicated to Hogwarts Legacy, which revealed 14 minutes of new gameplay for the fantasy adventure. The event also confirmed that the game, set in the Wizarding World of Harry Potter, will launch in holiday 2020.
Hogwarts Legacy sees you playing as a student (who is fully customisable, by the way) as a late-starter at the School of Witches & Wizardry, where you’ll take part in classes, hang out in the common room, battle evil wizards and goblins, and master various forms of magic.
In essence, it’s a Harry Potter fan’s dream!
Hogwarts Legacy is in development at Avalanche Software and Portkey Games, and will launch on PS5, PS4, PC, Xbox Series X/S, and Xbox One. Fortunately it looks like previous chatter about a delay to 2023 was a load of hogwash.
