After Insomniac has released nothing but Spider-Man and Ratchet & Clank games the last few years, the studio’s next major release is set to be Marvel’s Wolverine.
Arguably one of the most anticipated games coming from any of PlayStation’s first-party studios, it’s also one of the many games where we still have no idea when it is set to release.
Following the news of Ted Price retiring from the studio, and that Ryan Schneider, Chad Dezern and Jen Huang were taking his place, they were asked about what’s coming next for the studio in an interview with Variety, and specifically they were asked about Marvel’s Wolverine.
But Schneider, along with Dezern and Huang were silent and “stoic,” as Schneider said, like Logan, and wouldn’t say anything, one way or the other, about Marvel’s Wolverine’s release date.
“We’ve announced ‘Wolverine,’ and we’d love to talk more about ‘Wolverine,’ but we have to be like Logan today, and remain very stoic until it’s time to pop the claws down the road,” Schneider said.
“As much as we’re as much as we have pent up excitement, we got to hold on to it. So that’s, that’s about as much as we could say about our upcoming projects today.”
So Insomniac still isn’t ready to talk Wolverine, as we’re almost officially three years out from the game’s reveal. Since this is just the start of the year though, hopefully we’ll hear something soon.
