Mark Wahlberg Issues Uncharted 2 Movie Update: ‘I Just Got A Call Today That They Got The Script In’

The Uncharted 2 movie finally appears to be getting off the ground, with actor Mark Wahlberg, who portrays Victor Sullivan in the movie series, revealing that he recently got a call to say that the script is in.

Speaking during an interview with ScreenRant, Wahlberg revealed that he’s interested in seeing where the new Uncharted film takes its characters and what happens next with the story.

Actually, I just got a call today that they got the script in. I can’t grow a real beard and mustache, but they said, “Start growing your mustache. It’s gonna take awhile.” I’d be interested to see what the story’s like, and where that adventure takes us. But I’m excited; I know audiences really loved the first one, so we’ll see.

Wahlberg revealed late last year that he had heard that somebody had penned a script and that it was still being worked on, but didn’t go into any further details.

The first Uncharted movie was released in cinemas back in early 2022, and garnered a 90% audience approval rating although wasn’t a massive hit with critics. The film starred Tom Holland as Nathan Drake as he encounters Sullivan and the pair embark on a journey to track down a legendary lost treasure.
