Mixer PS4 – Can You Get Mixer On PS4?
Developed and funded by Microsoft, Mixer is the latest streaming platform to hit the market. Currently available for PC, Xbox and mobile platforms, it makes sense that with PS4 now crossing the 100 million sold barrier, and becoming the highest selling console in history as a result, that Mixer would certainly come to PS4 right?
Well, for whatever reason there is currently no native Mixer PS4 app to allow folks to stream their favorite PS4 exclusives and PS4 indie games.
How To Stream PS4 To Mixer
However, it looks like there is a way around this to get Mixer working on your PS4 according to the official Mixer Twitter account.
According to the official Twitter account for Mixer, you can use capture cards such as those from manufacturers such as Elegato and Avermedia to capture gameplay footage from your PS4 and then, in turn, stream that through Mixer.
It’s hardly an ideal situation, but for what it’s worth, Mixer is keen to get itself on more platforms in the future.
The fact that it is a Microsoft product shouldn’t impede this in theory either. Don’t forget that Minecraft is technically a Microsoft product (Microsoft owns developer Mojang), while Microsoft and Sony have come to a productive understanding regarding their cloud services in a bid to stave off competition from Google’s incoming Stadia streaming platform.
