Bloober Team Konami News PS4 PS5 Silent Hill Silent Hill 2 Remake Silent Hill Reveal

New Silent Hill Game Reveal May Arrive Sooner Than Expected, Possibly Even This Month

A new Silent Hill reveal may be coming sooner than we have been lead to believe, according to VGC’s Andy Robison.

While I wouldn’t blame you at this point if you’re sick of hearing about the rumored Silent Hill(s) games, it seems something may finally be happening. Furthermore, Jeff Grubb replied to Robinson’s tweet with a September gif, suggesting whatever is happening could be revealed this month.

Konami has already said that it’s going to announce a new game from an existing franchise at the Tokyo Game Show 2022, but it is understood that this won’t be related to Castlevania, Metal Gear Solid or Silent Hill.

Silent Hill is supposedly coming back in a big way, with no less than three new games reportedly in the works. One of them is claimed to be a full Silent Hill 2 Remake, which is reportedly being handled by Bloober Team.

Rumors about a new Silent Hill game date back a few years at this point. Back in March 2020, website Rely on Horror reported that a soft reboot of Silent Hill was in development with original creature designer, Masahiro Ito involved in the project.

Fast-forward to August of that year, and a noted leaker on ResetEra claimed that the new Silent Hill game would be released in late 2021/early 2022. That didn’t happen, obviously, but the project is apparently still very much in the pipeline.
