SEGA will share new info on Sonic Frontiers during GamesCom Opening Night Live, Geoff Keighley has announced on Twitter.
It’s true:@sonic_hedgehog is coming to @gamescom Opening Night Live! Tune in live on Tuesday, August 23 for a world premiere new look and news about SONIC FRONTIERS during OPENING NIGHT LIVE!
Sonic Frontiers is currently slated for release in Holiday 2022 for PS5, PS4, PC, Nintendo Switch, Xbox Series X/S, and Xbox One. However, a listing on the SteamDB has potentially outed a more concrete date, but nothing is official.

The initial gameplay reveal for Sonic Frontiers attracted negative feedback from fans, to the point where the game was briefly trending on Twitter as folk called for a delay. However, SEGA was quick to respond, insisting it wouldn’t be delayed.
Sonic Frontiers differed from previous instalments in the Blue Blur’s illustrious career, featuring an open-world adventure that will take players around 20-30 hours to complete.
