New research shows that PlayStation Now is dominating the video game subscription service opposition. In evidence collected by research firm SuperData, it’s reported that PS Now generates substantially more revenue than Xbox Game Pass and other services.
The report reveals that the three biggest game subscription platforms earned $273 million between them during 2018 in the US. Sony grabbed $143 million of that share, representing 51% of the total revenue gained in the sector.
Meanwhile Xbox Game Pass achieved 15 percent of the market. EA Access came in second with 16 percent.
PlayStation Now – Download Games
Sony made an important move recently with PlayStation Now transitioning from it being just a game streaming service and launched the ability for users to download PS4 and PS2 titles.Currently PlayStation Now hosts over 600 games, including God War Remastered and Bloodborne.
A current subscription costs £12.99 a month or £89.99 a year with new games added each month. Added to the growing list of games on PS Now this month are Mafia III and Steep.
