It’s not just the PS5 that was a huge success in the US during its launch month. The DualSense controller, which is currently only available in a white variation, has been crowned the biggest launch in the US for a gamepad in terms of unit and dollar sales.
That’s according to Mat Piscatella of the NPD Group, painting a very strong start for Sony hardware across the pond.
Sony previously revealed that the PS5 had given the format holder its biggest hardware launch ever, while in the UK, it is reportedly the biggest console release of all time. What isn’t known is exactly how many units the PS5 sold at launch.

The PS5 was released in the US on November 12 and in the UK on November 19.
