Sony has revealed that the PS5 has another M2 SSD slot in its PS5 teardown video showcasing all the insides and parts of Sony’s new console.
The extra M2 SSD Slow allows you to install another SSD into the PS5, because the internal SSD is not removable. On top of that, the internal SSD slot is specced at PCIe 4.0 standard. This also means that by adding that extra SSD, you will be adding to the existing storage, rather than replacing the 825 GB harddrive that comes with the console. All this PS5 news comes just a month before the console is set to release in November worldwide. Currently, Sony is in contention for the PS5 trademark in India, as they were beaten to it by 3 months.
