Peter Moore Talks PS5 Vs Xbox Series X
Moore, who also served at SEGA during the Dreamcast says and later headed up Microsoft’s Xbox efforts, made the comments during a web conversation with Summer Games Fest host Geoff Keighley, Xbox marketing chief Aaron Greenberg, and analyst Michael Pachter.
Michael is right. You are going through what both companies are going through right now. Which is, “how much can we afford to lose in the first 12-18 months? What is our attach rate of software to hardware? What’s the revenue we can drive through services?
What are we willing to do in year one, two, and three to hit 10 million (units sold)? Always remember first to 10 million wins. Michael is right, Microsoft right now the stock price, the market cap, everything is flying for them.
The PS5 and Xbox Series X are launching in holiday 2020, and unless Microsoft delays its new console, Sony isn’t expect to do the same for the PS5.
