Telltale Games, best known for its point-and-click adventures, is teaming up to publish a new online racing game called RGX Showdown. Developer by Shortround Games, who have worked on Android and iOS racing games in the past, including Rival Gears, RGX Showdown is a futuristic street racer.
The team features some ex-talent from Criterion (Burnout) and Black Rock Studios (Split/Second), but will be the first game from the studio for PS4 and Xbox One.
Priced $9.99 (£7.99), RGX Showdown will feature one versus one races. The emphasis is on speed and short rounds, with some battles lasting less than one minute. World tournaments will kick in every hour with winners receiving rewards.
Featuring different vehicles classes, players will earn Event Points and new cars. They’ll also be challenges where you can unlock new decals and colors to pimp your vehicles.
A release date for RGX Showdown has yet to be revealed. If you like the look of this, check out some more great PS4 racing games.
