SEGA has revealed during its latest financial report that it is evaluating which IPs it can resurrect in the future through a variety of means, including a basic high-definition remaster to a full remake or reboot.
While nothing has been set in stone yet as to what IPs will be given this treatment, there’s plenty to choose from, as a presentation from the fiscal results mentions Crazy Taxi, Jet Set Radio, Space Channel 5, Rez, Panzer Dragoon, NiGHTS, Shinobi, Virtua Fighter, Altered Beast, House of the Dead, Streets of Rage, and Soul Hackers.
As you can see, there’s a wealth of potential tied up in these classic IPs, although obviously Streets of Rage got a superb revival last year and House of the Dead is being remade for the Nintendo Switch (and hopefully PS5 and PS4, too).

Elsewhere, SEGA also revealed plans to release what it calls a Super Game within the next five years, which is believed to be the FPS that Creative Assembly is currently developing.

In related news, SEGA is one of the publishers that have recently been confirmed to appear at E3 2021, so we’ll hear some sort of announcements there for sure, certainly for the Sonic the Hedgehog 30th anniversary.
