BigBen Interactive together with Ukrainian developer Frogwares has just released the cinematic trailer for Sherlock Holmes: The Devil’s Daughter. The trailer follows earlier news, which nailed down a May release date for the anticipated sleuthing adventure.
Perhaps more so than any of the Pride of Baker Street’s previous adventures, Sherlock Holmes: The Devil’s Daughter would seem to veer greatly towards the supernatural side of things if the cinematic trailer for the game is any sort of indication.
Indeed, in the footage itself we see Sherlock chasing after a spooky child who may have connections to his past as the world contorts and crumbles around him the more he catches up with her, interspersing the pursuit with biblical and satanic imagery in the process.
Gameplay-wise, seeing as Sherlock Holmes: The Devil’s Daughter is from the same developer as 2014’s Sherlock Holmes: Crimes and Punishments, players should expect a similar mix of free-roaming exploration, detective work and minigames to get stuck into.
Sherlock Holmes: The Devil’s Daughter is set to release for PlayStation 4 on May 27 but in the meantime, you can catch the cinematic trailer for the game below.
