Sony Planning PS5 Reveal For Early-Mid June – Rumor

The PS5 reveal will happen in early-mid June, according to former Kotaku journalist Jason Schreier. Sony hasn’t announced anything official yet, but with Microsoft already ramping up interest in Xbox Series X, it’s bound to happen soon.

PS5 Reveal Rumors Reignited

Speaking on the latest Press Start podcast, Schreier said that Sony has ‘at least one thing’ to show by early-mid June, but stressed that the impact of the coronavirus outbreak could easily change that. As such, he warns people not to put too much faith into that for now.

The PS5 is still targeting a release this holiday season, something which is reportedly unlikely to change unless Microsoft decides to postpone the release of the Xbox Series X.

Sony offered an in-depth look at the console’s meaty technical specifications back in March, and last month unveiled its new controller, the DualSense.

Right now we have no idea how much the PS5 will cost, but it has been reported that Sony is waiting to see what Microsoft does before making any decisions.
