PlayStation overlord Jim Ryan is reportedly aiming for a global simultaneous release for the PS5, according to a report on Bloomberg.
Sony Aims For PS5 Simultaneous Global Launch
The news comes following reports that PS5 is allegedly going to be manufactured in fewer quantities than the PS4 during its first year on the market. However, unlike that console, the PS5 will hopefully receive a simultaneous global launch.
That’s at least what Ryan is aiming for, something which didn’t happen with PS3 and PS4. If you recall, the PS3 turned up in March 2007 in the UK, which was some months after the US and Japan, while PS4 arrived in Japan four months after the UK and US.
Sony recently announced the DualSense controller, which aesthetically shares many similarities with the DualShock 4, but has new features including haptic feedback and adaptive triggers. There’s also the new Create button, which replaces the Share button on the PS4 pad.
