Dealabs’ billbil-kun has revealed that preorders for the PS5 version of Starfield will open on March 17, 2026 at 4.00pm UTC. This follows yesterday’s report that the game will arrive for Sony’s console on April 7.
At this point Bethesda should probably save themselves the trouble and just officially confirm that Starfield is coming to PS5, as it’s been leaked so many times by this point. The April 7 release date was originally reported by Polish website PPE.pl. and corroborated by Dealabs, although prior to that it had been hotly tipped to arrive on Sony’s current-generation system.
The Verge and XboxEra originally outed plans to bring Starfield to the PS5 back in February 2024, as part of Microsoft’s then-new push to multiplatform territory. Vandal followed up with fresh reports in January 2025 that Starfield would join Fable and Killer Instinct to Sony’s system.
Starfield was originally released for the PC and Xbox Series X/S in September 2023.
