Stellar Blade is one of the latest titles to be scrutinised by Digital Foundry for its ongoing PS5 Pro coverage, with John Linneman confirming Shift Up’s action-adventure game benefits from a huge visual improvements thanks to the use of Sony’s PlayStation Spectral Super Resolution (PSSR).
PSSR though, my goodness, it completely changes the image and it just resolves so much more detail and cleans up so much noise and it winds up massively improving the visuals overall…It is a gigantic leap, its probably the best implementation I have seen yet, in terms of image quality.

Digital Foundry has revealed a number of key details on how the PS5 Pro will enhance various titles, including Gran Turismo 7, which is able to run at a native 4K/120 FPS without the need for an update via Game Boost. Meanwhile, the frame rate issues in Metaphor ReFantazio appear to have been fixed when running the game on PS5 Pro, while an unboxing video posted by DF reveals the inclusion of 16.7TF GPU compute for Sony’s new system.
