Original StoryUbisoft has announced on its forums that a The Division 2 update will arrive tomorrow, February 16, 2021, that will bring volumetric fog back to the game on PlayStation platforms after it was removed with this month’s PS5 optimisation update.

The update will be added via server maintenance from 09:30 CET, 10:30 GMT, 03:30 AM EDT, 12:30 AM PDT on February 16 and it will last for 3 hours, with the servers returning after maintenance is complete.

The full update is quite small with only this adjustment:

“This maintenance will include a fix for the missing volumetric fog on PlayStation 5.”

Along with this one change, Ubisoft has confirmed that it will continue to support the game in 2021 and 2022, meaning that fans have a lot of content to look forward to now that the Resident Evil crossover event just finished. Ubisoft hasn’t detailed what exactly fans are in store for though.

The Division 2 is available now for PS4 and is playable on PS5 via backwards compatibility.
