The Last Of Us Part I Footage Leaker Claims “No Gameplay Improvements” In Upcoming Remaster

Last night, gameplay images and footage of The Last Of Us Part I leaked out online. Later on, the person who leaked the footage added some details about the upcoming remaster, claiming there are “no gameplay improvements” in this new version.

It’s been speculated that this new version is being made with the same engine that built The Last Of Us Part II, which also partially led to speculation around there being improvements to the controls, making the game function more like the sequel.

This leaker is shooting that down, and saying most of the improvements have gone to the graphics and the audio. They also say it’ll support VRR, 4K at 40fps for a “Gameplay Mode” and 4K at 60fps for a “Dynamic Mode.”

What the leaker does say the remaster will take from The Last Of Us Part II, is its improved accessibility options.

All of this is unconfirmed, and ought to be taken lightly for now, though it’s pretty fair to presume the accessibility options part is true.

After putting in the effort for the sequel, it would seem odd for Naughty Dog to not apply those to this new remaster.

The remaster is set to release in September, so we’ll likely hear more official news about it soon before then.
