The Last of Us 2 is still a way from release. With no firm release date set by Naughty Dog and Sony Interactive Entertainment, we're not expecting to see the PS4 exclusive surface until 2019.

Nevertheless, we're expecting to see much more of The Last of Us 2 at E3 2018, where maybe they'll even be a demo to play, or at least some awesome new gameplay footage! Things are progressing nicely though and Troy Baker, who plays the part of Joel, has confirmed that he's just finished playtesting the game.

In a press panel at the MCM Comic Con, Baker addressed the crowd about his role in The Last of Us 2 and was full of praise.

“It's a fantastic story. It's a fantastic game. We just finished a playtest. It's looking awesome. I can't wait for it to be on shelves,” he exclaimed.

His comment suggests things have moved on fairly quickly in development. Back in December, creative director Neil Drukmann said that the game was a broken mess in stages. Despite a fantastic trailer at Paris Games Week, it appeared there was a still a long way to do.

This latest comment suggests that The Last of Us 2 development has moved on a lot in the last few months! Despite some negative reactions to the game's violent scenes, fans were impressed with the trailer, and cannot wait to see how the journey ends in one of the best PS4 exclusives.
