Uncharted 4 is scheduled for release exclusively on PlayStation 4 on May 10, 2016. The game takes place a few years after the events of Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception, and sees hero Nathan Drake teaming up with his long-lost brother, Sam, as the duo hunt down a legendary pirate treasure in Madagascar.
Naughty Dog has confirmed a number of new additions to the formula for Nate’s latest adventure, including enhanced climbing mechanics, all-new stealth features and larger environments to explore. The multiplayer has also been overhauled, allowing gamers access to AI-controlled partners and mystical items to wield in battle.
While this will be the final entry in the Uncharted series to feature Nathan Drake, Naughty Dog hasn’t ruled out future instalments in the 21-million selling franchise. It’s also said it has at least one more game to come out for the PS4, although what that is remains firmly under wraps.
