GameStop has rolled out a new video detailing the pre-order bonuses its customers can get their hands on for the hotly anticipated Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End.
Fans of Uncharted 2: Among Thieves may want to check it out, as it features the Phurba Dagger that played such a vital role in the game’s plot. There’s also a few other goodies thrown in for the multiplayer mode. Check it out in a video below.
Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End is due out exclusively on PlayStation 4 on May 10, 2016. The game takes place a few years after Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception, and sees Nate coming out of retirement as a fortune hunter to track down a legendary pirate treasure.
This time however, he’s not only joined by mentor Victor Sullivan, but also his long-lost brother, Sam, who reappears suddenly having thought to have been killed some 15 years ago. The trio embark on a globetrotting journey for the riches, which leads them everywhere from Scotland to Madagascar.
Naughty Dog has confirmed that this will be the studio’s final Uncharted game, although it hasn’t ruled out the possibility of another studio stepping up to the task in the future. It’s also described the game as Nathan Drake’s final chapter, and feels it has achieved resolution for the plucky hero.
It’s clear the California-based developer hasn’t turned out a by-the-numbers sequel, though. There’s plenty of new additions to the formula this time around, including large-scale environments, improved stealth mechanics, smarter AI and some meaty CQC takedowns. The multiplayer has also been overhauled to feature AI-controlled buddies and mystical items.
