Best known for their in-depth analysis of consoles PC’s, and Video Games. Digital Foundry responded to a question on Resetera claiming that the tech demo was actually supposed to be playable at the Game Developers Conference earlier this year. The conference of course was canceled due to the ongoing COVID-19 Pandemic.
The demo showed off some impressive lighting effects and texture usage. A lot of it may have sounded too technical for the everyday gamer but with a full-fledged demo it was clear just what the Unreal Engine 5 will be able to pull off starting next year.
Mark Cerney was supposed to have a deep dive of the PlayStation 5 during the conference but instead had to settle for a pre-recorded video presentation instead.
