Yooka-Laylee and the Impossible Lair has just been announced by Playtonic Games Prior to E3 2019. The follow up to the beloved 3D platformer will be hitting the PS4 this year.
The Impossible Lair is a 2.5D platformer instead of another 3D game, like Yooka-Laylee. But, the game will have a 3D overworld that you can explore. David Wise and Grant Kirkhope will be producing the score for the game. The game will be distributed both physically and digitally.
The reveal trailer’s description details the game a little more:
Yooka and Laylee are back for a brand new adventure! Get ready for the ultimate challenge – the Impossible Lair! Capital B has created a Hivemind device and used it to enslave the toughest bees in the Royal Stingdom – the Royal Beettalion Guard! Liberate them from chapters filled with only the tastiest 2D platforming trimmings, and take on a 3D overworld that contains a wealth of puzzles, secrets and some familiar faces!
