BBC: "Killzone 2 one of the most immersive games ever"

Ever since its debut at E3 2005, Killzone 2 has been regarded as Sony's biggest mistake; the commonly held knowledge was that such an impressive trailer set Sony up for failure. All that changed this last E3 as Susi Roku unveiled the pre-alpha build of the game they had ready. Heralded by critics everywhere, KillZone 2 is shaping up to be the most immersive and cinematic games to date, according to BBC.
The BBC writes, "When you sit down in front of a playable level ... it is immediately clear that Killzone 2 will be one of the most cinematic and immersive games ever produced on a console." Impressively, this is the most widely held opinion currently in the industry -- it appears that Sony truly delivered (so far).
The BBC did note two problems they saw: the game is an FPS complete with checkpoints, which was aparently was too archetypical. Additionally it seems that Killzone's grenades leave something to be desired.
PSU anxiously awaits this game, and will continue to bring you any information we can manage on it.

Meh Killzone 2 is nothing special just another fps and the graphics are not even on par with Gears of War. Another overhyped piece of crap, like all of my dumbass comments and existence

i know that you are a pissed 360 fan i can understand your feelings but please dont compare kz2 with gears of war coz kz2 easily pwns it
anyways yes i quite agree with the article however in the graphics dept haze and cod4 are pretty close too but the final build of kz2 is yet to be seen

psn id: gingo... i regard BBC very highly in terms of opinion so i am even more hyped about this than i was before, with them saying the grenades needed fixed i dont really care because Resistance grenades were awesome and they make up for any other games grenades lol

hahahahah gears of war is only good looking from afar but far from good looking. the gamelay sucks and characters move all silly and it really isnt a great game its only good. and kz2 easily will be better then gears in every way augustus, and no has even played it yet

haha have u been in the 360 forums.all they do is complain about the 3 rings of death n talk about a shi**y game called halo.just look at there chat.its always about how there crap box broke or if the xbox can handle oblivion lol.pile a sh**t 360 .kz2 just wipes its ar*e of the 360

killzone looks pretty good wait for the actual gameplay tho..... also gears of war and halo arent all that great theyre good ill admit but theyre not absoluteyl amazing... really halo 3 is gunna b the same as the first 2 just finishing the story (most of overrated game ever)

Awesome I can't wait, but I do have to say something, everyone seems to think that grenades are some super powerful being or something, they never were super powerful or made huge explosions (in real life of course), so maybe killzone modelled them after real grenades (which would actually be like a first for games considering how grenades always end up being extremely powerful).

This game will be great! Im nto sure why were talking about gears of war and halo though. It will probably be as good of a game as gears of war. but for those of you who are saying it will be a halo 3 killer... come on. it already reserved over 1 million copies. Nothing will kill halo 3. GTA 4 pushed its release back probably due to halo 3. Lets just forget about gears of war and halo and lets look forward to this great game coming to the ps3. the ps3 needs a great game right now.

@willis: I think people like the grenades as a last ditch effort(me at least)when you run out of bullets,so in a way they are just as important as which ever gun your carrying,so that is why BBC mentioned it hopefully to the developers to so it can be tweaked.Delay it if you have to just get it right.SMOKE YOU 360

If it says anything for Gears of War, Epic said Unreal Tournament 3 on the PS3 is way ahead of GoW. And its pretty obvious they prefer the PS3 dev kit and system features over the 360. UT3 will be out on the PS3 first, and Epic didn't even seem to care when they were releasing it for the 360, as they said it'll be out "some time next year".

I was comparing KZ 2 to Gears of War not UT 3.I am not a 360 fanboy but I was just expressing an opinion but everyone here is so blind. Killzone is nothing special just another average FPS or maybe worse like the craptastic Killzone 1

u dumbass they r different games GeOW TPS Killzone 2 FPS u can't compare them its like comparing mario to pacman all time classics but u can't compare different types of games and if u think that its another FPS there's something wrong with u or u haven't seen ne of the vids

I guess when it comes to graphics every1 has diffrent taste. To me Gears was a very nice looking game but way too shiny. The gameplay left more to be desired. COD 4 looks great gameplay/graphic wise however not close to the graphical detail in KZ2. Haze very gret looking game as well and alot closer to being on par with KZ2 graphic wise. Look @ these games in HD on your PS3 you see the diffrence. Nothing I've seen graphic wise is touching KZ2.

grenades did suck in the first Killzone,,other then that i loved the game,, that is one of the things that is so sweet about resistance is how the grenades are actually employable.
