Sony Computer Entertainment America (SCEA) has released an all-new CG trailer for the hotly anticipated Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End on PlayStation 4.
As previously reported, the trailer was showcased during the previews prior to the screening of Star Wars: The Force Awakens in the U.S. The footage sees hero Nathan Drake attempting to save his brother, Sam, while under threat from newcomer Nadine Ross and her armed goons.

Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End is due out exclusively on PS4 on March 18, 2016. The game takes place three years after the events of its predecessor, Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception, and sees Nate coming out of a cosy life with wife Elena to hunt down a legendary pirate’s treasure. The cocky fortune hunter embarks on globe-trotting journey that reunites him with longtime mentor, Victor ‘Sully’ Sullivan, as well as his long-lost brother, Sam, as he battles against a band of mercenaries lead by the ruthless villainess, Nadine Ross.
Developer Naughty Dog hasn’t been coy over the fact this is the final adventure for Drake, and has admitted it’s difficult to imagine continuing the series without him. The California-based studio explained that it is eager to move onto other gaming experiences going forward, stating that it is difficult to continuing pushing boundaries with the Uncharted series. The game recently wrapped its multiplayer beta, which was available to those who purchased Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection. However, it is unlikely to receive an open beta prior to release early next year.
The Uncharted series has become one of Sony’s tentpole franchises, and has sold over 21 million units globally since its inception in 2007 on PS3. As well as the original trilogy on Sony’s last-generation console, Uncharted also made the jump to portable gaming with Uncharted: Golden Abyss for PS Vita in 2012. A movie adaptation is also in production for a 2017 release, although has been stuck in development hell for some time after a number of directors came on board and subsequently abandoned the project over the past few years.
