Lee wasn’t able to go into any details on the length of the prologue chapter of Andromeda when asked by a fan, although he did make it clear that BioWare is busy working on its new IP.
@BioFanOfficial I’m not familiar enough with the dev work to say, plus I was kind of distracted with our New IP work going on around me 🙂

Mass Effect Andromeda is currently in development for PlayStation 4, PC, and Xbox One and is pencilled in for a holiday 2016 release. The game is a complete departure from the previous games starring Commander Shepard, and will take place in a new part of the galaxy, the eponymous Andromeda system, as gamers explore new uncharted worlds with their squad members.
BioWare has been teasing details on the game for months now on Twitter, with the most recent news revealing that Andromeda will feature destructible cover and a new ship design. A recent hiring spree by the team suggests that it is working on improving AI behavioural patterns, and that thegame will look just as good, if not better, than the recent Star Wars Battlefront.
Interestingly, despite the requests for a high-definition remaster of the original Mass Effect trilogy, publisher Electronic Arts has indicated that it’s not likely to release the games on current-generation hardware. In fact, it’s apparently not all that keen on the idea of HD Remasters in general. Mass Effect recently celebrated its annual N7 Day with a new teaser trailer for Andromeda, which featured a voiceover by the female Commander Shepard (Jennifer Hale).
