Call Of Duty Modern Warfare 2 Will Be Next Year’s Call Of Duty Game, Leaker Claims Once Again

Tom Henderson, a renowned leaker in all things first-person shooters, has revealed that Call of Duty 2022 will be none other than – yep, you’ve guessed it – Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2. This follows on from previous rumors that next year’s entry will be a continuation of the rebooted Modern Warfare franchise that kicked off in 2019.

While he couldn’t confirm if the game will actually be called Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2, he was pretty confident that 2022’s Call of Duty is going to be a sequel to the 2019 first-person shooter.

This report follows on from Henderson’s previous claims just last month, where he said that next year’s instalment in the multi-million selling franchise will be a sequel to Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2019. The project is apparently known as Project Cortez, and will see Captain Price going up against a drug cartel.

The original Call of Duty Modern Warfare franchise saw three major entries: Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3.
