PS5 Pro Has Wi-Fi 7 Support

The PS5 Pro has finally been revealed, and even though there’s been months of reporting and rumours that in many ways unofficially confirmed it was coming, it’s real now because Sony talked about it.

Took them long enough, but better late than never, as PS5 architect Mark Cerny stepped up to host a technical presentation on the PS5 Pro and what’s new compared to the PS5.

One of those new features that might caught players eyes is the fact that the PS5 Pro supports Wi-Fi 7, so if you have a capable router, your console will be able to have an even faster connection than before.

It’s good that the support is included, especially when considering the PS5 Pro is a digital-only console out-the-box. If you want a disc drive, you’ll need to purchase it separately.

So at the very least if you’re downloading all your games, you’ll have the potential to download them faster.
