The new Resident Evil Village demo has been put through its paces by VGTech, revealing the game can almost hit 60FPS during the game’s ray tracing mode, which still renders at 4K resolution.
While Capcom officially detailed that Resident Evil Village will clock in at 45 FPS when ray tracing is turned on, the performance test reveals that it can almost hit 60 FPS on PS5. To be precise, the mean frame rate is 59.53 FPS.
There are situations when the frame rate can drop to as low as 46 FPS, although if you’re playing on PS4 Pro, the game holds up very well, maintaining 60 FPS. However, VGTech notes that the Performance Mode, which runs at 4K with an unlocked frame rate, isn’t too hot.
