The next title to come from Resogun developer Housemarque, which is tipped to be its biggest yet based on previous reports, is not only being published by Sony but it’ll be a PlayStation 5 launch title if a report from GameReactor.dk is to be believed.
Ironically, this would mirror what happened at the launch of PlayStation 4 where Housemarque provided Sony’s new console with the superb retro shooter, Resogun – a title which would be available for free to PlayStation Plus subscribers.
Though we have no idea as to what sort of game this could be at this point, the very fact that Housemarque placed its long in development battle royale effort Stormdivers on hold before assembling the biggest team it has ever seen, suggests that we’re in for something rather special.
With the PlayStation 5 games reveal set for this Thursday, June 11, it would certainly seem that we won’t have to wait very long at all to find out.
