Square Enix‘s Final Fantasy 7 trademark spree, which has been taking place over the last month has once again continued with the name “Ever Crisis” being filed in the US.
Spotted by Gematsu, this marks the fifth location the name has been trademarked after Japan, Europe, Canada, and Australia. The Isle Dragon Roars has also been trademarked, but it isn’t clear if this is related to Final Fantasy or another Square Enix game.
Originally filed a month ago, speculation has been growing that these trademarks might relate to Final Fantasy 7 spinoff games or DLC for the popular title, especially as an announcement of a PS5 remaster is reportedly imminent and will include new story content.

A Final Fantasy 7 Remake concert is set to take place this weekend, but while an announcement may arrive, thanks to a tease, it might not be anything substantial. As for what these trademarks mean, we could have our first hint at them this weekend.
