The Last Of Us Part 2, which was reportedly set to release this Fall has been delayed to early 2020. Jason Schreier from Kotaku confirms that it has been pushed back to early 2020, likely February.
Jason had predicted game delays and announcements months before they happen, lending credibility to the statement. He has also exposed the inner-workings of numerous developers, such as Rockstar and Bioware and how ‘crunch’ has affected the development of their games.

This news comes among a flurry of rumours that the release date for the game was set to be revealed this week. A new State of Play was set to debut focusing on Naughty Dog’s latest adventure. However, that is looking unlikely now, given the delay. Recently, the team behind the game stated that they are in the final stages and are “closing out production“, which lends credibility to the game originally intending to release this year.
Today we are also set to see a new trailer for Death Stranding, another hotly anticipated exclusive. Kojima has been teasing the trailer for a while before confirming it a few days ago. Earlier today, pre-orders for the game leaked on the PlayStation Store, detailing the bonuses you can get for buying the game before release. Just a few moments ago, the game’s release date leaked, suggesting we will see it this Fall.
The debate now shifts to whether or not The Last Of Us Part 2 will appear on the next PlayStation console, the PS5. Sony has confirmed that all known exclusives will be releasing on the PS4; however, a later release on the PS5 is certainly possible. Have any more questions about PS5?
