The Last of Us Remastered PS4 patch update 1.11 greatly reduces loading times, it has been revealed.
In particular, Twitch streamer Anthony Calabrese has remarked that the new update essentially makes loading screens ‘basically non-existent’.
You can see his tweet below.
The Last of Us Remastered is just one of a number of PS4 games that are getting surprise patches. God of War 3 Remastered, God of War 2018 and Final Fantasy 7 Remake have all received unexpected patches in just the past few days.
While the patch notes are frustratingly vague, it appears that these patches provide PS5 support to each title in question.
As to just what that level of support actually is, currently remains unclear. Will it be improved framerates via PS5’s Boost Mode? Will it include improved screen resolution? It’s too early to tell at this point.
However, the fact that The Last of Us Remastered PS4 patch update 1.11 improves loading times so drastically, gives us some hope at least that PS5 improvements to some of our favorite PS4 games could well be afoot.
