CD Projekt RED has revealed that The Witcher 4 is ‘the most advanced’ of its upcoming projects, so don’t expect The Witcher Remake or Cyberpunk 2077‘s sequel anytime soon.
Speaking on the Flow Games podcast, Pawel Sasko, the director on the Cyberpunk 2077 follow-up, revealed that most of its next slew of titles are still in the “early stages” of production, but was quick to highlight The Witcher 4 is the one that is furthest along — but even that isn’t going to be here for a few years yet.

The only difference is the Polaris project, so the new Witcher saga, that will enter production. That is the most advanced of all of those.”
The Cyberpunk 2077 sequel is being headed up by a new CD Projekt RED team based in Boston, USA and is known as Project Orion internally. The game’s narrative director recently described the original Cyberpunk 2077 as “a warm-up” for the coming sequel.
CD Projekt RED said back in January this year that The Witcher 4 will begin production this year, and hopes to have around 400 people working on the project by the middle of 2024. As for The Witcher Remake, that project was announced in October 2022 and CDPR later confirmed that it will be released after The Witcher 4, which ties in with Sasko’s comments above.
