Cyberpunk 2077 Travel Is Helped By An Uber-Like Service

CD Projekt RED has shared a few new snippets of info about Cyberpunk 2077, confirming players will have access to an Uber-like service to facilitate their travel requirements across the sprawling open-world metropolis of Night City. These self-driving cars will be included alongside a fast travel mechanic for the highly anticipated sci-fi title.

Cyberpunk 2077 Travel Includes Self-Driving Cars

Cyberpunk 2077 UI coordinator, Alvin Liu, compared the feature to Uber, although keep in mind it will cost you money if you want to take advantage of the service. “We have an AI robot Uber self-driving car service, so if you hate driving, you can just call your local AI and have them pick you up,” said Liu.

Of course, one of the biggest reveals about Cyberpunk 2077 is the fact it’ll feature John Wick star Keanu Reeves. He’ll be playing the role of Johnny Silverhand, and fronts his own rock band in the game. However, don’t expect Reeves himself to be doing the singing; CD Projekt RED isn’t keen on that, apparently.

Also, remember the whole ‘you’re breathtaking’ comment during Reeves’ on-stage appearance at during Microsoft’s presser? Well, folk are petitioning for that to become an actual Achievement/Trophy in Cyberpunk 2077 for a 100% completion rate. To be fair, I think it’s a smashing idea.

Cyberpunk 2077 will be released for PlayStation 4, PC, and Xbox One on April 16, 2020. Aside from the standard version, the game will also feature a swanky Collector’s Edition release if you fancy splashing out some extra cash on the title.

In addition, CD Projekt RED has expressed interest in bringing Cyberpunk 2077 out on PS5 and Xbox Scarlett, although for now, it’s only been confirmed for a current-gen release. The game itself takes place decades after the events of the tabletop RPG, Cyberpunk 2020, and sees players controlling a fully customisable mercenary known simply as ‘V.’
