The PlayStation VR headset has received an update since the 2016 release of the CUH-ZVR1 model. The new CUH-ZVR2 model has a number of tweaks to the overall design compared to its predecessor. The new headset is currently available in the United States within certain PlayStation VR bundles whilst other countries are still waiting on this new headset to be released.

The biggest differences are you can turn the headset on and off from the base of the visor and also adjust the volume. The headphone jack is now situated on the rear adjuster strap preventing multiple cables hanging down.

PlayStation VR Processor Box

The new processor box has been updated to allow HDR pass through. This feature which was missing from the original now allows you to leave your PS4 plugged into the processing box and view HDR content without swapping around cables. To utilise the HDR content though the PlayStation VR headset needs to be turned off.
