Resident Evil Village PS5 File Size Confirmed, Pre-Load Date Revealed

The Resident Evil Village PS5 file size has been officially confirmed following yesterday’s listing for the game on the Microsoft Store, which offered a rough idea of what to expect from the survival horror game in terms of how much space it would eat up.

According to the Twitter account PlayStation Game Size, Capcom‘s upcoming sequel will eat up 27.325GB on your PS5 hard drive, although this is without any day one patch. Furthermore, users will be able to pre-load Resident Evil Village from May 5, two days before the game’s launch.

Resident Evil Village is scheduled for release on May 7, 2021 for PS5, PS4, PC, Xbox Series X/S and Xbox One. The game takes place a few years after Resident Evil 7: Biohazard, and sees Ethan Winters battling against vampire and werewolf-like creatures in a mysterious European village after brushing shoulders with Chris Redfield.

Capcom is celebrating the 25th anniversary of Resident Evil this year, with the original game launching for PSOne in Japan on March 22, 1996.
