Square Enix has clarified that Final Fantasy 7 Remake will indeed ship on two Blu-ray discs when it hits PS4 in March 2020, following reports to the contrary that have been trickling onto the web. However, it’s made crystal clear from the Final Fantasy 7 Remake 1st Class Edition listing that the game arrives on two discs.
It’s also important to remember that this is only the first part of Final Fantasy 7 Remake. The game is episodic, so that means there’s at least another part on the horizon, although Square Enix hasn’t gone into any more details about this yet.
Final Fantasy 7 Remake Part 1 Is Packed Full Of Content
Final Fantasy 7 Remake is due for release on PS4 on March 3, 2020. As mentioned, this is just the first part of the game, and from the look of things it’ll focus on all the events that transpire in Midgar, which is the first location in the game. In the wider context, it’s only a small part of Final Fantasy 7; the original game opens up considerably after you depart Midgar, allowing you to explore the world map a little bit.
Still, Square Enix has already said that it will be greatly expanding on the events of the 1997 version of the RPG, including allowing players to explore new locations and delving deeper into the members of AVALANCHE, such as Biggs, Wedge, and Jesse.
