About Catherine
In this mature adventure game from the company that brought you the Persona franchise, you play a carefree guy in the normal world whose grip on reality comes unglued when he meets the woman of his dreams. Vincent is a fashionable 32-year-old with no ambitions in love or work. One day, Vincent meets the game's titular character, Catherine, and is instantly charmed by her. But although there is love in the air, things don't always work out the way one would think. After this chance meeting, Vincent begins having strange nightmares, and it is in this unsettling state of hyper-real slumber and waking life that this innovative adventure game takes place.

Summary
Catherine is a mind trip, blending the impact of real life decisions, the nightmares of finally growing up, and the fear of dying young. While the core puzzle-platforming offers nerve-wracking excitement, players are likewise gifted with an engaging, authentic story.
We like
- The clever plot and narrative style
- The intensely challenging puzzles
- The solid replay value
We dislike
- The repetition that kicks in during the game's latter stages
- The occasional camera angle hiccup
- Some of the story elements are confusing

Catherine deserves an M for its mind-bendingly realistic adult themes that force the player to make decisions that are all too true to real life. That’s not to say that every person cheats, or even thinks about cheating, but t...
