Death Stranding Photo Mode PS4 Hinted At By Hideo Kojima

Hideo Kojima has suggested that the Death Stranding photo mode may come to the PlayStation 4 version of the game. For those who missed it, the photo mode will be included in the PC edition of Death Stranding this summer.

Death Stranding Photo Mode PS4 Possible?

Writing on Twitter, Kojima-san revealed that he’s thinking about bringing photo mode to Death Stranding on PS4 via an update.

Introducing how to use DEATH STRANDING PC version Photo Mode. It’s still under development but i think you can see the idea of how the process goes. I may consider this feature as an update, since there’re many requests from Sam’s in the world.

Nothing has been confirmed yet by Kojima Productions, but it’s good to hear that it is at least being considered.

Death Stranding shipped for the PlayStation 4 on November 8, and debuted at number two on the UK charts, becoming the second biggest launch for Sony’s console so far this year. Read our review of Kojima-san’s latest project here.

Death Stranding photo mode could come to PS4

The game received notably mixed reviews across the pond, which Kojima says is because US gamers (apparently) enjoy first-person shooters, something which Death Stranding obviously, well, isn’t.

Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you’ll know that The Walking Dead actor Norman Reedus stars in Death Stranding as the main character. Reedus previously collaborated with Kojima on the cancelled Silent Hills project, but says it was something of a ‘blessing in disguise‘ that the game was scrapped.

Looking ahead to the future, it has been reported that Kojima Productions is working on multiple projects, among which includes one ‘big’ title. Could one of these be a Death Stranding sequel?

The PC version of Death Stranding will launch on June 2. There’s also the possibility that the game may eventually come to the PlayStation 5.
