As it didn’t look gorgeous enough already, the upcoming Final Fantasy 7 Remake will support 4K resolution on the PlayStation 4 Pro.
Final Fantasy 7 Remake Has 4K On PS4 Pro
As confirmed by Square Enix on Twitter (via Reddit), Final Fantasy 7 Remake also supports HDR on both the PS4 Pro and standard version of the console.
Final Fantasy 7 Remake is due for release on April 10 and will remain exclusive to the PS4 for one year. However, due to the outbreak of the coronavirus, Square Enix has started shipping copies of the game early in Europe and Australia.
In addition, the game’s pre-load date has been bumped forward, so you can now get the digital version of the game ready for action come launch day.
However, Amazon has warned its customers this week that pre-orders for the physical version of the game may face delays.
Given the proximity to the PS5‘s release next holiday season, it’s pretty much all but guaranteed we’ll see future instalments (and possibly the first part) on Sony’s next-generation system.
The original version of Final Fantasy 7 was released back in 1997 for the PSOne, and has sold over 11 million copies worldwide. The game also helped the series gain more exposure in western regions, and is considered one of the best video games of all time.
