The folks at LetsGoDigital have conjured up a rather lovely new concept render of the PS5 and DualSense controller sitting together, and the results are pretty impressive. Sony’s new console has yet to be shown off, but we reckon this image is pretty close to the final product.

It’s been a pretty exciting time for PS5 news as of late. Sony unveiled the DualSense controller earlier this week, confirming a range of exciting features for the pad. While the Share button is gone, it’s been replace with a new Create option, and the haptic feedback and adaptive triggers afford the user greater immersion than a standard rumble option.

Meanwhile, Sony has promised that the DualSense will feature a strong battery life, and there’s also an audio jack for those wanting to plug in a regular headset. The Touchpad also makes a return following its debut on the DualShock 4.
Developers have already gotten pretty excited about the technology, with Bethesda’s Pete Hines coming away impressed after going hands-on with the new pad.
Amidst all this, Sony also took the time to reiterate that the PS5 will be released in holiday 2020, putting aside any concerns about a possible delay due to the COVID-19 pandemic. We can also expect the system’s design to be unveiled soon.
Sony offered a deep dive into the PS5’s technical specifications last month, touching base on the SSD, backwards compatibility, GPU, and more.
In terms of backwards compatibility, the new console will be able to play an extensive range of PS4 games out of the box, but hopes of it supporting legacy systems have been extinguished by Sony. Then again, the chances of it playing PS3 titles were pretty slim, to be honest.
