Yep, we’re still deep in the game — exploring, building, and ensuring the sands move with purpose. This game is being crafted by a team that truly cares, and they’re pouring their hearts (and a lot of coffee) into every step. Thank you for sticking with us.

Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time remake has been a long time coming, having been announced five years ago. Originally due out by April 2022, Ubisoft pushed the game back to its next financial year that ended March 31, 2023, with development later confirmed to be fronted by Ubisoft Montreal.
Fast-forward to May 2023, and Ubisoft revealed that the game was still in the conception phase despite being announced three years ago at that point, with no release date in sight. By November of that year, the project had ‘reached an important milestone.’ In June 2024, Ubisoft revealed that its Toronto team had joined development of the Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time remake.
July 2024 saw a number of staff from Ubisoft Toronto laid off, and we wouldn’t hear any further updates on the project until May of this year, at which point Ubisoft confirmed Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time would launch by April 2026.
