We’ve been doing a bit of digging, and it seems a lot of people are asking one thing: Is Auto Chess coming to PS4? So, is an Auto Chess PS4 release in the pipeline?

Epic Games confirmed at E3 2019 that it would be bringing a standalone version of Auto Chess to its dedicated game store. Right now, that’s about all we know regarding future releases. There’s nothing in the pipeline for the PS4 as far as we know, with mobiles the only other format that will be receiving an Auto Chess release.

This is unlikely to change at the moment, although if we do hear anything about a potential Auto Chess PS4 release, we’ll be sure to update this article.

Update (August 6, 2020)

Dragonest has confirmed that Auto Chess is coming to PS4 on October 31 2020!

What Is Auto Chess?

Auto Chess is pretty much the biggest gaming explosion since battle royale. The craze initially started out in Dota Auto Chess, an expansion that revolved around a heavily modified version of chess. More than nine million Steam users are following this Dota mod, so that should give you an idea of just how popular it is.

Colloquially referred to by the community as auto-battlers, Auto Chess combines team building with her placement, and sees eight players slugging it out in randomised one-on-one matches. Players start off at level one, and at first you are only able to place one unit on the board. However, you can level up, giving you more units to place, increasing your chances of winning.

Speaking of which, battles are actually played out in real time in auto fashion, hence the title Auto Chess. Winning will earn you gold, which can be used to spend on XP and units; conversely, losing a match will reduce your hit points, and you’ll get eliminated if you loose enough of them.
