Is Spellbreak coming to PS4? Well, first of all let’s get put some background to the game first. Spellbreak is a brand new fantasy style Battle Royale effort and it’s being developed by Proletariat Studio.

This multiplayer-focused RPG focuses on magic combat and the artwork bears an uncanny resemblance to Zelda: Breath of the Wild. Featuring 11 different classes with unique abilities, Spellbreak is currently in pre-alpha with no release date as yet.

Much different from the likes of PUBG, Apex Legends and Fortnite, Spellbreak instead takes on a light fantasy setting that makes it much more suitable for younger gamers than those aforementioned titles.

There is also a much greater emphasis on teamworking, too – there is no ‘I’ in team, after all.

SpellBreak PS4 release?

Spellbreak is launching on PC and the developer has not released any games for PS4 in the past. However, the developer has confirmed at State of Play December 2019 that Spellbreak PS4 will not only release sometime in 2020 but that also there will be a Spellbreak PS4 closed beta taking place sometime in early 2020 too. Spellbreak releases for PS4 on September 3, 2020!
